Day – Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport.
Day 2: : City tour -Flight to Volcano National Park
Day 3:Gorilla Tracking in Volcano National Park
Day 4:Golden Monkey Tracking -Visit the twin lakes of Rubondo and Bulera.
Day 5:Dian Fossey grave visit.
Day 6:Boat cruise Lake Kivu
Day 7:Flight back to Kigali and connect to international flight back home.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali international airport
On arrival meet our company representative who will drive you to your hotel in Kigali. Overnight stay at Kigali Marriott. Meal Plan, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: City tour -Flight to Volcano National Park
In the morning after breakfast, the guide will drive you around Kigali and visit Gisozi genocide memorials then after get on the domestic flight to Volcano National Park. Overnight stay at Singita Kwitonda lodge. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Volcano National Park
Very early in the morning, go at the park headquarter for briefing about the does and don’ts and also to be allocated a gorilla family. After the guide will drive to the starting point where you will start tracking from. The time spent while tracking mountain gorillas depend on the movement of the gentle apes but after finding them spend 1 hour with the apes. Overnight stay at Singita Kwitonda Lodge. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking -Visit the twin lakes of Rubondo and Bulera.
In the morning return to the same park for another experience, the golden monkeys are habituated though they are very active, be ready to follow them as you take unforgettable photos. After have lunch at the Lodge, visit the twin lakes of Rubondo and Bulera. Overnight stay at Singita Kwitonda Lodge. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Dian Fossey grave visit.
Dain fossey was an American primatologist who studied Mountain gorillas in Volcano National parks for a period of time, she protected the gorillas against poachers through many ways. Unfortunately, she was murdered by unknown people in her research Centre at Karisoke. She was buried next to her favorite gorilla digit at karisoke. Visiting this place and listening to the history and all the works of Dain Fossey you will realize how important and positive effects of her work in this park. Overnight stay at Singita Kwitonda Lodge. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Transfer to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Gisenyi on lake kivu. On reaching, have lunch at the Hotel and relax around the beach while enjoying the cool breathe. Overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel. Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: Boat cruise Lake Kivu
On this day have a boat cruise on lake Kivu, enjoy different fishing methods, the waters and the cool weather. Overnight stay at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel. Meal Plan, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7: Flight back to Kigali and connect to international flight back home.
