LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Lake Manyara National Park is managed by Tanzania National parks. The park derives its name from a plant called Euphorbia tirucalli, known as Emanyara in Maasai language. It is found in Tanzania Arusha regions and has diversity of wildlife, vegetation, the soda lake known to be home to many unique birds, the rift valley and etc.
Among the wildlife found in the park include, Hippos, leopard, Buffaloes, elephants, cheetah and also the tree climbing lions can be seen here. The lake is the type locality for the endangered fish Oreochromis Amphimelas which is endemic to Tanzania.
The recorded list of birds in Lake Manyara National Park is 350 and more. These attracts bird enthusiasts who also explore more attractions in the park. Over 180 species of butterflies are also present in the park

Game drives:
The activity is one of the most done activities in the park, the game drive can be done in the morning, which is so rewarding as animals will be a bit near the trails before the sun rises to hide in bush. There is also evening game drive, night game drive and the whole day game drive. All the game drives will reward you different animals and the secretes of lake Mayara National Park.

Best time to visit Manyara national park
Manyara National Park is best visited in the dry season months, during this period, the trails are passible, dusty and not muddy, but during rainy season, the trails are muddy. This is because of the loose Volcanic soil that it dusty during dry season and muddy during rainy season. The park can be visited all year round though a 4×4 safari jeep is highly recommended.
