The 9 days Tanzania northern circuit wildlife safari takes you to the famous Northern circuit parks with most of the time delegated to following and viewing the great Serengeti migration. This safari offers enough time in the Serengeti, so you that you can follow the paths of the ever moving herds without feeling stressed by time factor. Two nights in Serengeti will be spent in a tented mobile camp that follows the migration route.
Discover wildlife and nature enthusiast at heart. This trip is definitely one you don’t want to miss. The trip starts and finishes in Arusha. The last day of the safari ends at the airport for your evening flight.

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Kilimanjaro Airport
On arrival at the airport in Tanzania, you will be met by one of our Gorilla walking Safaris staff members. After greet and meet services he will escort you to your accommodation in Arusha (Approximately 60 Km).

Day 2: Lake Manyara
After a morning breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park with enroute views and nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara contains a diverse range of habitats and topographical features ranging from the rift wall, ground water forest, acacia woodlands and open grasslands to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself. Have afternoon game viewing in the park searching for the diverse flora and Fauna of the park
Discover 350 different bird species in the park. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the famous tree climbing lions that are unique to the Lake.

Day 3: Drive to Serengeti
The legendary Serengeti Plain is your destination on your 3rd day today, a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions, but throughout the year the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. You will enjoy a picnic lunch as you drive North of Serengeti and in the evening free to rest.

Day 4: Migration in Serengeti Ecosystem
Today you will leave after morning breakfast and with lunch packet you will drive as you follow the migrations paths depending on the location. We will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 million wildebeests and five hundred thousand Zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem.
The adventure is full of packs of lions, cheetahs and other carnivores that are simply waiting for the right moment to strike on their prey. Crocodiles in Serengeti River show no mercy as huge herds cross the river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the evening, you will drive to your mobile Luxury camp for overnight rest.

Day 5: Central Serengeti plains
The next two days you will enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your central Serengeti camp.

Day 6: Central Serengeti plains
Full day in Serengeti endless plains. You can choose to have a balloon safari at an extra fee

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Today after a morning breakfast, you will drive and descend into the crater for an in-depth exploration of this distinctive Eco-system. Enjoy abundant wildlife viewing set against the impressive backdrop of the Ngorongoro Crater, the heart of the conservation area. These drives provide one of the best opportunities in Africa to view the rare black rhino, which tend to spend their time on the crater floor. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles; its magical setting and abundant wildlife never fail to enthrall visitors. For lunch enjoy a picnic next to the hippo pools on the crater floor.
Embark on game drive throughout the various ecosystems of the crater, including woodland filled with zebra and baboon, plains that support scavenging hyena and a lake that is tinted pink with greater and lesser flamingos. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family.

Day 8: Walking to Ngorongoro Empakai crater
This walk begins with a drive through the Empaakai. You will pass through some of the most outstanding views in the Ngorongoro region. As you pass through Embulbul depression you will see herds of wildebeest or grants gazelle in the large grasslands that cover this depression caused by volcanic mountains. On reaching Empaakai, you will descend to the crater floor as Ol Doinyo Lengai looms over you. On reaching the floor of the crater you will walk around the periphery of Lake Empaakai. Flamingos are commonly seen.

Day 9: Village Nature tour (Biking/ Walking) – Departure
After a morning breakfast our Gorilla walking safari guide will drive south as you say goodbye to this spectacular park. You arrive in the Mto wa Mbu area (close to Lake Manyara) where you will find your bike ready. With a guide you will start to cycle around the mountainous rugged village overlooking Lake Manyara; the topography is spectacular. At some point, you may encounter some wild animals like antelopes. There are a lot of bird species and a camera should not be forgotten.
A picnic lunch packet will be served. If you wish you can also go for African delicacies near Mto wa Mbu.
In the afternoon, you will drive to Kilimanjaro airport for your afternoon flight back home.
