TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
This is among the National parks in Tanzania that shouldn’t miss on any tourism package, it derived the name from Tarangire river which crosses the park and acts as a source of water to the wildlife. The park has diversity of species and mostly in dry season, thousands of animals concentrate here.
The eco system is defined by the wildebeest migration where many wildebeest and Zebras migrate in search of water and pasture. Among the animals in the park include, wildebeest, zebras, dik dik, lions, leopards’ olive baboons and etc. Over 550 species of birds can be seen in Tarangire this makes it a perfect place for birding trips.
The park is also famous for the termite mounds that dot the landscape. Those that have been abandoned are often home to dwarf mongoose. The land scape is composed of rivers valley, swamps, Acacia woodland seasonally flooded grassland and etc.

Best time to visit Tarangirei national park
Tarangire National Park is best visited in the dry season months, during this period, the trails are passible, dusty and not muddy, but during rainy season, the trails are muddy. This is because of the loose Volcanic soil that it dusty during dry season and muddy during rainy season. The park can be visited all year round though a 4×4 safari jeep is highly recommended.
