Trekking And Meeting A Gorilla In Bwindi Forest

Humans, Gorillas and Chimpanzees are closely related in DNA under the scientific revolution. There is absolutely no mistaking the bond that exists between Human and the primates especially when you go trekking and lock eyes with them. Trekking Mountain Gorillas and chimpanzees in Bwindi Impenetrable national Park brings you to date with interactions of human many years ago and how human specie revolved until todate. Trekking primates in their natural habitant is a reminder how life was and how revolution has taken effect on life and change. At some point Human was and lived as the Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees in the rainforests. This can be witnessed by the Batwa people that have recently been taken out of the Bwindi Forest when made a UNESCO site on 1991. A demonstration by the Batwa is so available on the boundary communities of the Forested parks

A Once In A Lifetime Experience.

There is so much to offer worldwide but getting up close, personal and looking into the eyes of a mountain Gorilla is one uplifting and memorable moment to behold. Meeting chimpanzees in their natural habitant or having a chance to get up close to human closest relatives is a lifetime adventure.

The Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees live silently in the Forested woodlands of Uganda while the whole experience finding the great apes is fascinatingly beautiful to behold. The Trekking experience starts in the morning at either of the destinations either Bwindi Forest or Mgahinga national parks for the Gorillas or Chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth national Park or Budongo forest as one of the best places to see and trek chimpanzees.

Uganda wildlife Authority is responsible for the protection of mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees and are also responsible for the trekking permits that allow you trek the awesome primates.

In the morning, the day starts with a briefing at the park headquarters of the Uganda wildlife authority at the national parks, a ranger guide is assigned to you with a minimum 8 person per family for Mountain Gorilla Trekking and 6 persons for chimpanzee trekking. This number of persons is intended not to crowd the primates and also gives a very authentic experience.

The Trek towards finding the primates involves trekking through small forest trails, Quiet atmosphere, penetrating through the thick forests, sometimes trails lead you to ascending and descending forested hills. The journey trekking through the forests is rewarded with an hour staying with the Mountain Gorillas or chimpanzees or Gorilla habituation that allows you 4 hours with the gentle giants. A guide with you will give you all the information you require to know and much more during the visit.

Meals are carried with you in packed boxes and always enjoyed amidst the forests during the trekking times. It is always uncertain what time you will be back from the treks of Mountain Gorillas or chimpanzees as they are trekked from where they were last seen the previous day. Averagely it would take between 3 – 10 hours for the mountain Gorilla trekking as a whole experience and between 2- 5 hours for the chimpanzee trekking.

The Whole memorable experience lies in the effort put in to find the great apes in their natural habitat, Sometimes it looks like a Trek to hell in the forest but it is a trek to paradise when you finally find the Gorillas or chimpanzees.
